Welcome to the COFFI Website

The Collaborative on Fatigue Following Infection (COFFI) is an international collaboration established to study post-infectious fatigue and related symptoms through sharing data and samples from cohorts around the world.

Through understanding why infections sometimes trigger symptoms of chronic sickness, we may gain insight into medically-unexplained diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS, also known as ME or SEID), fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

The aim of COFFI is to pool resources, data and samples to increase the number of patients represented in studies, which will, in turn, improve our chances of identifying the clinical, genetic and environmental risk factors leading to fatigue and related issues after infections.

This website was set up to help collaborate the efforts of the COFFI group, and so has content which is limited only to collaborators, however, links to relevant information and help for patients may be found under the Research tab.
